A security program works when everyone in the company can recognize a threat and knows what to do when they spot one. COVA delivers on-site training at your facilities in Mexicali and Baja California, tailored to your processes and to the requirements of CTPAT, OEA and Secure Industrial Park.
We offer two programs, both taught by Alejandro J. Corona Villarreal, CPI, with experience since 2008 in more than 200 validations: an annual CTPAT update for staff who already know the program, and a comprehensive OEA/CTPAT workshop to prepare the teams responsible for meeting and maintaining certification.

Comprehensive OEA/CTPAT workshop

Prepares staff to meet the CTPAT and OEA minimum security criteria, with tools to detect vulnerable areas and apply best practices that keep the certification in good standing.

- Physical security of the facilities.
- Information security and cybersecurity: hacking and phishing.
- Agricultural security: pest contamination and treated wood packaging.
- Risk assessment (ISO 31010 and the 5 Step Risk Assessment) and internal audits.
- Effectiveness tests, drills and post-incident analysis (PIA).

How it works
1 · PLANNING
We agree with you on the program, groups and schedule. All you need is a room with a projector and an HDMI cable.
2 · SESSION
In-person training at your facilities, with examples from your operation and supporting material.
3 · EVALUATION
Q&A for each area, and a final online assessment taken on each participant’s phone via QR code, with instant scoring.
4 · EVIDENCE
A signed attendance list and individual certificates for your certification file.
Certificates verifiable online
Each participant receives a certificate with a unique number and QR code, valid for one year from the training date. Your company, your auditors or CBP can confirm in seconds that the certificate is authentic and current. Certificates are issued to participants who pass the assessment, and your company receives a results report for each participant.
